Mini-Seminar on the  Holistic Healing Process of the Alkali Band of Indians  on Substance Abuse

The Tribal American Network Inc. will be using a recently produced video entitled “The Honour of All” to lead a discussion on the use of the medicine wheel in holistic healing. The video is a hour long true documentary of the Alkali Band of Indians who went from 100% substance abuse in 1971 on their Reserve to 95% sobriety in 1985.  To regain balance and sobriety they had to address the aspects of their spirituality, emotional, physical and  mental. The Alkali people tell their own story in this dramatization. Their story and experience has become a exemplary model for many other tribal governments to use in their efforts to regain balance of their own citizens.
