"Vitality and beauty are gifts
from nature
for those who live according to its
laws."
Leondardo DeVince
Fundamental components of the Live
Food Diet
Program:
My observation with thousands of
people over
the last six years is that a live food
diet
comprised of the following four points- given in order of importance -
is the most effective in delivering needed nutrition to the body:
---large volumes of uncontaminated
water every
day (at least two quarts for 100 lb adults and a gallon for folks twice
this size);
---a raw, organic whole food powder
concentrate
consisting of ingredients from at least a dozen different plant sources
(alfalfa, barley grass, rose hips, etc.), and consumed in large amounts
daily;
--- fresh raw fruits and vegetables
along with
soaked/sprouted grains, seeds, beans and nuts; moderate use of raw,
organic
nut butters; regular use of a truly raw, unprocessed, unadulterated
organically
grown Olive Oil;
--- daily supplementation with an
EFA (Essential
Fatty Acids)
blend, including Flax Oil,
Borage Oil,
Evening Primrose Oil,
Sesame Oil, Sunflower Oil.
The four points above, as well as
the rest
of this article, are thick brush strokes. All of this data should be
finely
honed in light of further research and trial and error by the
individual
to learn what best suits their particular situation.
If, as each and every week goes by,
you find
you are becoming
more and more healthy, then you are
surely
on the right path.
This is what you should look for and
expect
when earnestly
changing over to a live food lifestyle
- improvements
every week.
If this is not the case, or you
find your health
has deteriorated,
contact us and we will be glad to help
you
find out how to make
effective gains. Desirable results
from natural
methods are there for all to find and utilize. This is true no matter
how
many times the Earth has gone around the Sun since you were born,
or how difficult your health
challenges may
seem.
COOKED FOOD MISINFORMATION
In the last three decades, better
than a dozen
best selling titles
have been purchased and used by the
public
as nutritional guides. None have proven to be "the way" over the long
haul
for everyone to use in achieving optimum health and freedom from
disease.
Most are quite negative in effect, if earnestly used to help heal
someone
of an injury or disease. Variations of the " Wackins' New Beverly Zone
Diet", if you will. A few (though not quite aspopular), are genuinely
helpful,
such as the works of Marilyn & Harvey Diamond, Gary Null and Jack
Tips.
Some will say that such a
publication on diet
can never be
written because nutritional changes
and exercise
simply will not work on everyone. It's much more complicated than that.
Besides, if eating lots of "bunny food" all the time leaves you feeling
hungry, or just doesn't seem attractive to you, its probably because
you
are genetically prone for the way you have been eating all your life.
And
so it goes - one opinion versus the next opinion. Yet, some of us still
want to know the answers to such questions as: Do my food choices
really
make a difference in my health condition and likelihood of getting
sick?
And if so, what food choices are certain to improve my health and help
to heal me of diseases. What foods definitely cause my health to
decline
and worsen my state of illness?
WHAT ROUTINELY WORKS IS CURIOUSLY
OVERLOOKED
Down through history, natural
healers would
effectively use
nutrition as a means to help people
with their
health and sickness. In the 19th Century, Kellogg and Thompson each
healed
thousands of people and neither one relied on refined sugar, flours,
processed
food, heavily cooked food, meat, dairy or poultry in their treatments.
This past century, more well known names such as Hoxsey, John
Christopher,
Bernard Jensen, Max Gerson, Norman Walker, Henry Bieler and Joel
Robbins,
to name a few, all helped heal tens thousands of people with natural
means
and none saw success using predominantly refined foods, processed
foods,
cooked foods,
meat, dairy or poultry.
Many did use fresh squeezed juices
in their
cures and all relied heavily on the consumption of fresh, raw fruits,
vegetables,
seeds, nuts, grains and beans by their patients. As matter of fact,
I've
never even heard a rumor of a natural healer who attempted to cure
others
using barbecue short ribs, donuts, french fries, hamburgers, pizza,
bean
burritos, spaghetti, cheese, coffee, and soft drinks. Yet, some or all
of these types of food are regularly eaten by nearly all of us on a
regular
basis, whether we are sick or seemingly healthy. And we feed our
children
these same foods at their insistence. The natural consequence is
premature
death for nearly all by around the age of 75. What's worse is the
dreadful
state of health experienced for many years prior to this untimely
end.
WHAT'S TO BE DONE?
OK, so the Standard American Diet
is one that
should be modified. What's the alternative and how is the change made
considering
that I'm not thrilled by the prospect of carrot juice and raw broccoli
flower buds in place of my yummy cheeses, meatloaf and donuts?
Practically all folks in the
westernized societies
are thoroughly
attached to cooked and
processed/refined foods
so this is not a very easy lifestyle change to make. Some form of
gradient
step program must be utilized in order to discover the value of raw
food
for one's self and its superior benefits.
If your diet is basically the same
over the
last six months to a
year and it is enjoyable to you, then
this
diet can be thought to be within your zone of comfort. A useful tip
here
is to estimate the ratio of other foods usually eaten to raw foods.
This
ratio is done in terms of weight rather than volume or size. This ratio
can now be considered to be within one's comfort zone. For instance,
your
average ratio may be 70% other food to 30% raw foods. To see
improvement
in your digestion, energy level, feeling of well being, Acid/Alkaline
Balance,
etc., you would need to increase the ratio of other foods to raw from
70/30
to 50/50 or even 40 % other foods to 60% raw. This could take a few
months
to accomplish by some, but they would see gradual gains each week along
the way. Then you can move along to increase the ratio to 20% other to
80% raw foods or even 10/90. At this point your are close in on going
fully
raw without it being too drastic a change.
ANOTHER APPROACH
Converting over to a raw/living
food diet too
quickly can cause your body de-toxify, which may cause flu-like
symptoms,
or most surely, bedevil with cravings all day long. The following
schedule
can make the changemuch easier.
First month - no sugar, deserts,
canned or
bottled beverages, pastries, etc. Take 4 to 6 tablespoons (32 to 48
capsules)
of Vital Nutrition Plus each day.
Second month - same as first except
also eliminate
all processed and refinedfoods such as pasta, breads, canned stuff,
snacks
in bags and boxes, etc. This means that you should only be eating
lightly
cooked veggies, and grains and beans; meat and dairy; and as much
raw/living
fruits, vegetables,soaked/sprouted seeds, nuts and grains as you can
incorporate.
Take 4 to 6 tablespoons (32 to 48 capsules) of Vital Nutrition Plus
each
day.
Third month - continue avoiding
items listed
in first two months and now limit eating all forms of meat, fish and
dairy
to three times a week - or every other day. Take 4 to 6 tablespoons (32
to 48 capsules) of Vital Nutrition Plus each day.
Fourth month - drop eating all
forms of meat,
fish and dairy so that now your diet consists of lightly cooked
veggies,
grains, beans and lots of fresh organic raw fruit, veggies,
soaked/sprouted
grains and beans. Take 4 to 6 tablespoons (32 to 48 capsules) of Vital
Nutrition Plus each day.
Fifth month - one cooked meal of
veggies, grains-beans
a day and the rest of the day raw/living foods. Take 4 to 6
tablespoons
(32 to 48 capsules) of Vital Nutrition Plus each day.
Sixth month - One cooked
veggie-grain-bean
meal a day for only 2 to 4 days of the week. Take 4 to 6
tablespoons
(32 to 48 capsules) of Vital Nutrition Plus each day.
The next month forego all of the
cooked meals.
QUICK BOOST FOR HEALING
When a health crisis is in the
picture, one
would need to move
quickly to a 15/85 ratio of cooked
veggies,
grains & beans to raw foods in order to see the body respond to the
nutritional benefits faster than the rate of deterioration from the
illness.
No processed foods, refined foods, dairy or meat and only the lightest
amounts cooked foods/whole raw foods should be
consumed. An even better idea is to
turn entirely
to fresh squeezed, home-made juices along (two quarts or more a day)
with
a heaping tablespoon of Vital Nutrition Plus concentrate in every pint
of juice for the next 3 to 7 days. And the best idea of all is to water
fast for 1 to 3 days in order to give your body the most amount of
energy
possible in order to detox and restore health.
MAKING IT WORK LONG TERM
Trying to put in these improvements
in ratio
from devitalized
foods to raw foods requires more than
a discipline
to eat whole fruits and salads for your meals. To sustain such a
lifestyle
indefinitely, you will have to become educated in the preparation of
raw
food recipes that are just as interesting and satisfying to eat as the
"other foods". Discovering a large number of recipes that you
thoroughly
enjoy eating will be crucial in your efforts to incorporate raw food as
the mainstay of your diet. To this end, we have included in this
article
web sites you can go to for recipes and other valuable information; and
books that will also help you tremendously in your desire to create a
live
food lifestyle.
The following materials on our site
will help
you transition
into the realm of largely raw
foods,

A tremendous boost in one's efforts
to rely
more on live
food in the diet is to use an organic
concentration
of whole food called Vital Nutrition Plus. Consuming at least 4
heaping
tablespoons of this supplement every day (or 32 capsules), ensures you
are getting adequate protein and other nutrients, such as vitamin B-12.

If you are interested in going
totally raw,
the crucial task
is to find out how to make delicious
raw food
meals, and collect severaldozen recipes that fit this bill for you and
your family. This is vital in order to make the full changeover. The
usual
period of time it takes to make this transition is 90 straight days. If
you can line things up to stay on a strict raw food regimen for 90
consecutive
days, you will find it is now more real to continue to eat raw, rather
than cooked/processed food.
Incidently, the old favorite cooked
food meals
make you feel somewhat (or a lot), sickened within hours afterward. A
sideways
proof of the more healthful value of raw/live foods.
BRRR - RAW FOOD IS TOO "NOT
WARM"
TO EAT IN WINTER
Solution: You can warm up some of
the raw food
without
cooking it. For instance, take mung
bean sprouts:
You can heat up some water far short of boiling it; pour it over the
sprouts,
let it sitfor 15 seconds or so, then pop the sprouts and water into a
strainer
or colander and presto, you have warmed up food that has not been
cooked.
You can also do this with soaked grains, seeds, nuts and beans.
Uncooked soup: Warm up some water
to about
140 - 160 degrees. Cut up fresh celery, carrots, onions, mushrooms,
jicama,
garlic, peas, etc., put into a large bowl, add a pinch of Celtic
Sea Salt and other seasonings. Take the warmed up water off the stove
and
pour some over the veggies in the bowl. Quickly the temperature of the
mixture will equal out to one
below 130 degrees and again you have
warm
food without having cooked it to death.

of cooked veggies,

Every single person we have heard
from who
has
changed majorly toward a raw
food/juicing
plan as above for ten consecutive days or more - including drinking
lots
of water and using Vital Nutrition Plus every day - has seen
their
energy levels go up, their digestive systems function better and their
feeling of well being improve (not to mention some remarkable benefits
in terms of illnesses).
This is all just a matter of
simple cause
and effect, folks.
When an effective cause is applied in
the
correct way, the expected desirable effects will always occur. Try it,
and then you will know it to be true for you, as well.
We very much enjoy seeing this
happen for so
many around
the world who have given it a go.
